The Account Object
The Account Object represents a financial account in the Chart of Accounts within a user's COUNT workspace. These accounts are categorized and enriched with other objects to help developers understand how transactions are classified and linked to financial reporting.

Unique identifier for the account within the COUNT system.
The primary classification of the account based on standard accounting categories. Determines how the account behaves in reports and financial logic (e.g., whether it increases with a debit or credit). Possible values: "Assets", "Liabilities", "Equity", "Income", "Expenses"

A human-readable explanation of the account's purpose.
The initial name of the account when created or imported.

A masked representation of the account number, often used for display (e.g., ****1234).
The currency in which this account is denominated (e.g., USD, ETB).
A cutoff date before which the account is locked for edits, indicating closed books.
